The Role

Intelligems is seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team. We’re looking for someone to own the entire design process from user research; to wire-framing; to end designs; to ensuring designs can be implemented by our engineering team.

That said, making designs in Figma will only be one facet of the role — your foundation will be diving deep into the product with our users to understand their needs, and the types of problems they are trying to solve with Intelligems.

Our customer base has quintupled this year, and we’re looking for someone to help ensure these users all have an intuitive and powerful product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of user interfaces and experiences across Intelligems' suite of products. You’ll need to maximize usability across our rapidly growing customer base. We have a pretty broad set of users - some very technical, and some “DIY”ers - so you’ll need to understand their individual needs and find ways to bridge the gap.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions, ensuring our products resonate with our audience (e-commerce brand operators).
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and improvements, using your expertise to push the boundaries of what's possible in UX design.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and business requirements, striving for a continuous improvement in the user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, customer success, and support to identify user needs and translate them into design solutions.
• Use your understanding of our customers needs and our product vision to provide feedback and input on our product roadmap
• Advocate for UX best practices within the company and help foster a design-centric culture that values customer feedback and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications:

• A strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in UX design, including examples of complex web applications or SaaS products.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and/or other prototyping tools
• Experience with user research methodologies and a passion for understanding user behavior.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationales to stakeholders at all levels.
• A problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
